Verney Road

Verny Road was a project SKJ site team was brought in to install a new building for N power network. This project Started with he team setting the stud work out to the right heights and distances to the correct design grid lines. This is really important to get right as can throw the whole building out. Once the studding was set out the crane could come and and start installing all the columns, the crane was set with slew restriction to minimise any danger of us getting close to the building, all columns and internal steel went in very smoothly without any problems. Once the building was tied in, the bracings could then be added. Their site engineer then came out to check our heights and was happy with every column so could move on with the install. All internal steel to take the slab flooring was then installed followed by the cable trays at the top of the building. The site team had a tricky install as they had to allow space for the slabs to be floated in, good planing and a good sequence allowed this install to go smoothly. Once all the tabs was installed the finishing of the building could be installed i.e Perlins, sheeting rails and 4 staircases with handrails and grating flooring. In all this was a very impressive install and the SKJ site team worked very safely and efficiently with a number of MEWPS on was was a very small area.
